Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Manager to oversee and manage our payroll department. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll while implementing best practices in payroll management. You will lead payroll operations, collaborate with HR and finance teams, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees
- Manage payroll staff, providing training and support to ensure proficiency in payroll systems and procedures
- Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
- Conduct audits and reconciliations of payroll data, resolving discrepancies as needed
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams on payroll-related issues, including employee benefits and compensation
- Prepare payroll reports for management, including forecasts and budgets
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in payroll regulations
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in payroll management or a related field
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
- Certification in payroll management (e.g., CPP, FPC)
- Experience with HRIS and ERP systems
- Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep expertise in payroll processing software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, or similar)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for reporting and data analysis
- Familiarity with timekeeping systems and integration with payroll

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
