Role Overview
We are looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Director of Payroll to lead our payroll operations at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for all employees across multiple jurisdictions
- Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to optimize workflows and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Lead a team of payroll professionals, providing mentorship and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to enhance the integration of payroll systems with HRIS and accounting software
- Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to ensure payroll accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Stay current with payroll regulations and best practices, ensuring that the organization adapts promptly to changes in legislation
- Engage with employees to address payroll inquiries and educate them on payroll processes and policies
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 8+ years of payroll experience, with at least 5 years in a management or leadership role
- In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations, taxation, and compliance requirements
- Proven experience in implementing payroll systems and process improvements
Preferred:
- CPAs, CPPs, or other relevant payroll certifications
- Experience with payroll software solutions such as ADP, Workday, or similar platforms
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with data analysis and reporting
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in payroll management software and systems integration
- Proficiency in spreadsheet applications (Excel) for data analysis and reporting
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and their integration with payroll processes
