Role Overview
We are looking for a Chief Medical Physicist to lead our clinical physics team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities

- Oversee the calibration and maintenance of radiation therapy equipment, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists and other healthcare professionals to optimize treatment plans and enhance patient outcomes
- Mentor and train junior physicists and radiation therapy staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Conduct research in advanced medical physics applications, contributing to the development of innovative treatment methodologies
- Serve as a key liaison with regulatory bodies and accreditation organizations, ensuring compliance and best practices are maintained
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Ph.D. in Medical Physics or a related field with board certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics
- 8+ years of experience in a clinical medical physics role, including leadership responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of radiation oncology, treatment planning systems, and quality assurance protocols
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead multidisciplinary teams
Preferred:
- Experience with advanced treatment modalities such as IMRT, VMAT, and stereotactic radiosurgery
- Active involvement in professional organizations, including presentations and publications in peer-reviewed journals
- Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI in radiation therapy
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep expertise in treatment planning systems (e.g., Eclipse, Pinnacle) and dosimetry software
- Proficiency in radiation measurement and calibration techniques
- Experience with imaging modalities used in radiation therapy (e.g., CT, MRI, PET)
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and guidelines (e.g., AAPM, NRC)
