Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in health physics, radiation safety, or a related field
- Basic understanding of radiation physics and safety regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred:
- Internship or coursework related to radiation protection or health physics
- Experience with radiation detection equipment and monitoring systems
- Familiarity with regulatory agencies and standards such as NRC, EPA, or equivalent
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using radiation detection instruments (e.g. Geiger-Muller counters, dosimeters)
- Basic knowledge of statistical analysis software and data interpretation
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis
