Responsibilities

- Develop and implement training programs for apprentices and junior fitters, enhancing their technical skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to provide input on steam system design and modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and compliance with safety protocols.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding steam fitting projects, addressing concerns and providing expert guidance.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a marine steam fitter or in a related role, with a proven track record of leadership.
- In-depth knowledge of steam fitting systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of maritime safety regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Preferred:
- CERTIFICATION in relevant marine engineering or steam fitting programs.
- Experience with specialized marine systems, including propulsion and auxiliary systems.
- Prior experience in mentoring or training junior staff.
