Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Facilities Manager to join our team, where you will play a vital role in supporting the management of our facilities operations. Your expertise in facilities management will ensure that our work environment is safe, efficient, and conducive to productivity.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and execution of facility maintenance and improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of building systems
- Monitor and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the facilities
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to assess the condition of facilities and identify maintenance needs
- Support budgeting and financial tracking for facility-related expenses and projects
- Facilitate the onboarding of new employees with respect to workspace setup and facilities orientation
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of experience in facilities management or property management
- Strong understanding of building systems, maintenance processes, and safety regulations
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in using facilities management software and tools
Preferred:
- Experience in managing contracts and vendor relationships
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy management
- Certification in Facilities Management (e.g., IFMA or BOMA) is a plus
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with facilities management software tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation
- Basic understanding of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
