Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Building Manager to join our team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the building, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Coordinate maintenance requests, inspections, and repairs, liaising with contractors and service providers to maintain building integrity.
- Conduct regular walkthroughs of the property to identify maintenance issues and ensure compliance with building regulations.
- Support the Building Manager in tenant communications and address inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial reports, monitoring expenses and ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Help develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance property management efficiency.
- Participate in emergency response planning and training to ensure safety protocols are established and followed.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of experience in property management, facilities management, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Basic understanding of building systems, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
Preferred:
- Experience in a supervisory role or managing vendor relationships.
- Familiarity with property management software and building maintenance tracking systems.
- Certification in property management or facilities management.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and property management software.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Experience with safety and compliance regulations relevant to building management.
