Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Facility Manager to support our facility management team in ensuring the efficient operation of our facilities. Responsibilities
- Assist in the oversight of daily facility operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Coordinate maintenance and repair activities, including managing vendor relationships and ensuring timely service delivery
- Support the development and implementation of facility management policies, procedures, and best practices
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify areas for improvement and report maintenance needs
- Assist in budget management and cost control for facility-related expenses
- Support space planning and allocation to optimize facility usage
- Foster a culture of sustainability by promoting energy efficiency and waste reduction initiatives
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of experience in facility management or a related field
- Strong understanding of facility management principles and best practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and facility management software
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams
Preferred:
- Certification in facility management (e.g., IFMA, BOMA) or related credentials
- Experience managing vendor contracts and service agreements
- Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in facility management software and tools
- Familiarity with project management software
- Basic understanding of building codes and regulations
