Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Director of Facilities to lead and optimize our facilities management operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic oversight of our facilities, ensuring a safe, efficient, and sustainable environment that aligns with our organization's mission and values. Your leadership will be critical in fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the facilities management team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive facilities management strategy that aligns with organizational goals and objectives.
- Oversee the maintenance, repairs, and operations of all facilities to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
- Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations to optimize service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead and mentor the facilities management team, fostering professional development and a culture of accountability.
- Conduct regular assessments of facilities to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices in sustainability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure facilities meet the evolving needs of the organization.
- Develop and manage the facilities budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in facilities management or related field, with a proven track record of leadership and operational excellence.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance processes, and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as IFMA, BOMA, or similar.
- Experience with sustainability initiatives and energy management strategies.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in facilities management software and tools.
- Experience with building automation systems and maintenance management systems.
- Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations relevant to facility operations.
