Role Overview
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Entry-Level Drug And Alcohol Counselor to join our team. In this role, you will provide support and guidance to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. You will assist clients in developing coping strategies and personal goals while maintaining a supportive and empathetic environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial assessments and evaluations to determine client needs and treatment options
- Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions focused on recovery techniques and life skills
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients
- Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in need
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for clients
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated empathy and understanding of substance use disorders
Preferred:
- Experience in counseling or related field through internships or volunteer work
- Knowledge of treatment modalities for substance use disorders
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Basic understanding of data management and client confidentiality protocols

- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with minimal supervision
