Role Overview
We are seeking a visionary and experienced Program Director to lead our Substance Abuse Counseling initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive treatment programs that adhere to best practices and regulatory requirements. You will leverage your expertise to foster a culture of excellence and innovation, ultimately enhancing the quality of care provided to individuals struggling with substance use disorders.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement evidence-based substance abuse counseling programs that meet the needs of diverse populations.
- Manage and mentor a team of counselors and support staff, ensuring professional development and adherence to ethical standards.
- Oversee program evaluation processes, utilizing data-driven insights to refine therapeutic approaches and improve outcomes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including healthcare providers, community organizations, and regulatory agencies, to enhance service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation standards.
- Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring financial sustainability and resource allocation efficiency.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in substance abuse counseling, including supervisory or management experience.
- In-depth knowledge of substance use disorders, treatment modalities, and recovery principles.
- Licensed or certified as a counselor in accordance with state regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive programmatic change.
Preferred:
- Experience in developing and implementing innovative treatment models or programs.
- Familiarity with telehealth or remote counseling practices.
- Active involvement in professional organizations related to substance abuse counseling.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and data management tools.
- Ability to analyze program performance metrics using statistical software or data visualization tools.
- Experience with grant writing and securing funding for programs.
