Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Director to lead our Substance Abuse Counseling initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic programs aimed at providing high-quality substance abuse treatment and support services. Your expertise will drive program effectiveness, promote best practices, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards while fostering a culture of recovery and resilience.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and oversee substance abuse counseling programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and community needs
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of counselors and support staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations
- Develop and maintain program budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost-effectiveness
- Establish partnerships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and stakeholders to enhance service delivery and outreach efforts
- Monitor program outcomes and implement continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance service effectiveness
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in substance abuse treatment and counseling
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in substance abuse counseling or a closely related field, with a proven track record in program management
- Licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in substance abuse treatment and recovery support
Preferred:
- Experience in a leadership role within a substance abuse treatment organization
- Familiarity with grant writing and funding opportunities for program development
- Experience working with diverse populations and understanding of cultural competency in treatment approaches
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in data management systems and electronic health records (EHR) specific to behavioral health
- Ability to analyze program data and generate reports to inform decision-making
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and digital counseling technologies
