Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Chrome Plating Supervisor to oversee and enhance our chrome plating operations. This leadership role is critical in ensuring the quality, efficiency, and compliance of our plating processes while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the team.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily chrome plating operations, ensuring adherence to industry standards and safety guidelines.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste in plating operations.
- Lead a team of plating technicians, providing mentorship and training to ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Monitor plating quality through rigorous testing and inspection, addressing any discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
- Establish and maintain robust documentation practices for compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
- Ensure the maintenance and calibration of plating equipment to optimize performance and longevity.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in chrome plating or related manufacturing processes, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of plating chemistry, equipment, and processes.
- Proven ability to implement process improvements and quality control measures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to lead a diverse team.
Preferred:
- Experience with automated plating systems and advanced plating technologies.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards related to plating operations.
- Background in lean manufacturing methodologies.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in plating processes, including electroplating, and related chemical processes.
- Familiarity with quality assurance tools and techniques, including statistical process control (SPC).
- Experience with process monitoring software and equipment maintenance systems.
