Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Assembly Supervisor to oversee our remote assembly operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a diverse team of assembly technicians, ensuring production efficiency, quality control, and adherence to safety standards while fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a remote team of assembly technicians, providing guidance and support to enhance skills and performance.
- Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety regulations.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for assembly operations to optimize workflow.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and quality assurance, to resolve production issues.
- Analyze production data and generate reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Foster an inclusive and positive team environment, promoting open communication and collaboration.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in assembly or manufacturing, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a remote team, with excellent communication skills.
- Strong understanding of assembly processes, quality control, and safety standards.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in a fully remote supervisory role.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and production tracking software.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with assembly line optimization tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and ISO standards.
