Legal Intern

About the Role

As a Legal Intern at Zero Hash, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our Legal team on a wide range of legal matters impacting our business operations. This internship is designed to provide you with hands-on experience in technology law, intellectual property, privacy compliance, contracts, and other areas relevant to the tech industry.

Responsibilities

1. Legal Research: Conduct research on various legal issues affecting the technology sector, including intellectual property rights, data privacy laws, cybersecurity regulations, and contractual obligations. Prepare research memos and summaries for review by attorneys.
2. Contract Review: Assist in reviewing and analyzing contracts, agreements, and licensing arrangements to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies. Help to draft contract provisions and amendments as needed.
3. Privacy Compliance: Support the Legal team in ensuring compliance with data protection and privacy laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant regulations. Assist in drafting privacy policies, terms of service, and data processing agreements.
4. Policy Development: Participate in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures related to legal and regulatory compliance. Help to draft and update internal guidelines and training materials for employees.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Product Development, Marketing, and Compliance, to provide legal guidance and support on various projects and initiatives. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address legal concerns and mitigate risks.

Qualifications

1. Currently enrolled in a Juris Doctor (JD) program at an accredited law school, entering the second year of study.
2. Strong interest in the laws and regulations at the intersect between distributed ledger technology and financial services.
3. Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
4. Ability to multitask, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
5. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
