- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, MIS, a technical-related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years’ experience developing distributed/scalable systems
- Demonstrated proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or C++
- Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
- Proficiency developing and consuming APIs
- Thorough understanding of what it takes to deliver an application from inception to production
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Opinionated but you appreciate an environment where feedback is freely given, and your ideas are challenged
- Comfortable mentoring other developers
- Experience working with the OpenAI SDK, and AI frameworks
- Understanding of AI principles (LLMs, Models, RAG, Agents, etc.) and experience with integrating AI into overall solution design
- Have shipped an AI driven application to production
- Comfortable using coding assistants like GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, or Cursor to improve developer efficiency
- Experience with AI platforms like Microsoft Copilot or Glean a plus
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their AI services is a strong plus

What is the AI Center of Excellence Team, and why join?
This is an exciting opportunity to be a member of a team that is focused on building a foundational set of core Generative AI services designed to enable teams to solve demanding business problems at scale for WWT (World Wide Technology).
What will you be doing?
As a Senior Developer on the team, you will be responsible for building software in an agile environment using a wide array of programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Here are some things the team will be working on this year:
- Furthering enhancing WWT’s Atom Ai chatbot solution and underlying Agent framework
- Expanding custom document summarization & generation RFP (Request for Proposal) tool to other business use cases
- Support product delivery teams by partnering with them to bring an AI-first mentality to their solutions
- Furthering the adoption of AI platforms across WWT
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build working software and deliver technical solutions that consistently exceed stakeholder expectations using web and AI technologies
- Stay current on emerging technologies, techniques and patterns in the web and AI space
- Make process and technology recommendations and assist with adoption
- Provide technical and professional mentoring for team members
- Lead projects and complex assignments with broad and ambiguous scope
- Interact directly with stakeholders to understand functional requirements and needs
- Demo solutions and communicate status to stakeholders at all levels
- Participate in ideation sessions and strategic planning
- Help foster a team-first environment grounded on an understanding of and a commitment to the WWT Core Values
