Workyard is a growing startup based out of the Bay Area, operating in the construction industry where $300 billion is spent annually on labor. We are developing an industry changing technology SaaS solution to manage labor for construction companies. Through a unique approach into the market, we are fundamentally changing the experience for both companies and workers by adding trust, transparency, and technology to the labor management process.
We are looking for SEO Content Writers to join our Marketing team. This is a great position for those who have natural curiosity for researching, learning and writing about new topics.
This is a 100% remote role, but you must be based out of the Philippines.
Responsibilities
Create and update long-form articles for our blog in line with SEO best practices
Optimize new and existing content for reader conversions
Create new short-form content for social, email, video, etc. as needed
Become an expert in our core product niches (construction time tracking apps and other construction business management solutions)
Research technical topics related to our value proposition and target audience, such as U.S. state (or federal) labor laws, software functionality, construction business management, construction payroll and accounting, competitive reviews, among others
Identify potential SEO content gaps and recommend and/or help create solutions
Leverage ChatGPT and other AI resources to streamline the content-creation process
Edit content to align with our brand voice, audience personas, and general U.S. English standards (AP style)
Help maintain and update our WordPress + Elementor blog by publishing and/or updating articles as needed
Work with marketing teammates to “modularize” content for ease of reuse across multiple platforms and formats (i.e., make it easy to extract bite-sized bits of long-form content for use in social media, video scripts, infographics, etc.).
Support content and conversion marketing managers as needed in creating new content to capitalize on near-term ad hoc opportunities.
Ensure brand and style consistency across new and existing content.
Requirements
Writing sample portfolio across various formats and platforms, demonstrating your ability to write for B2B audiences
Writing, editorial, and research expertise
Experience using our preferred content writing and content management tools:
Google GSuite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.)
WordPress and Elementor
ChatGPT (or similar AI writing tools)
Grammarly (or similar written-word editing apps)
A willingness (and preferably eagerness) to learn new tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve our content creation and distribution processes.
1+ years of experience working with creative teams to deliver marketing results
Strong independent critical thinking skills
Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects or assignments simultaneously with minimal daily supervision
Eager to improve and comfortable with constructive feedback
An engaging personality that comes through in your writing!
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or related fields, and/or at least 3+ years’ of demonstrable content writing experience
