We are seeking a Lead Front End Shopify Engineer to join our VML Enterprise Solutions Engineering team on a contract basis. The role will involve working on an exciting fast-paced account for a global leader in the health and hygiene market, supporting other developers and taking ownership of key tech decisions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with the Shopify platform, Agile methodology, and front-end development skills.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of the Agile methodology
  • Mastery of semantic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
  • Extensive experience with the Shopify platform
  • Expertise in all aspects of the Shopify ECommerce platform
  • Experience of pair programming
  • Commercial experience of using GIT in a large development team
  • Excellent communication skills and capability to interact directly with the team and stakeholders
  • Commercial experience of unit testing/End to end testing/regression testing
  • Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
  • Working knowledge of third-party services and APIs, as well as Shopify plugins
  • Great attitude, self-motivated, strong work ethic, with strong ownership
