A fast-growing D2C skincare brand based in the UK is looking to hire a Brand Operations Manager to help build the operating engine behind the brand. This is not a passive coordination role. It is a high-ownership leadership role for someone who can bring structure to a fast-moving environment, keep teams aligned, solve problems quickly, and drive execution without letting things slip through the cracks. You will work closely with the founder and play a central role in keeping the business organized, accountable, and moving forward.

The Opportunity

This is a high-impact role for someone who wants real ownership. You will help build and run the systems, processes, and cross-functional workflows that keep the brand operating at a high level. You will be involved in weekly planning, team accountability, product launch coordination, vendor management, cross-functional execution, and operational performance.

This role is also a rare chance to learn how a D2C brand operates end to end. You will gain direct visibility into the full business flow across product, marketing, operations, launch execution, team management, and growth.

They are going heavy on AI implementation across all departments of the business, so this role is a front-row seat to that transformation. You will have the opportunity to help lead it, learn fast, and stay on top of what is happening in AI across real business functions.

What You Will Own

Brand Operations & Execution

  • Build and manage the company’s project management system in tools like Asana, Notion, ClickUp, Monday.com, or similar.
  • Break company priorities into clear weekly tasks, timelines, owners, and deadlines.
  • Track progress across departments and make sure work is moving on schedule.
  • Identify bottlenecks early and push for resolution before they become bigger problems.
  • Create visibility, accountability, and operating discipline across the team.

Team Cadence, Leadership & Performance

  • Lead daily huddles and keep the team focused on the highest-priority outcomes.
  • Coordinate communication across departments so everyone is aligned on what matters most.
  • Follow up consistently to ensure execution is happening, not just discussion.
  • Resolve internal friction, remove blockers, and keep momentum high.
  • Drive a high-output culture and ensure the team is performing at a strong level under your management and governance.
  • Help the founder maintain clarity, structure, accountability, and execution discipline across the business.

Growth Accountability

  • Keep a close check on whether the brand is moving in the right direction and growing.
  • Monitor whether the marketing team is performing well and meeting agreed KPIs.
  • Escalate misses early, drive follow-through, and make sure growth-critical priorities are not ignored.

AI Implementation & Process Improvement

  • Help lead AI implementation across departments and identify practical use cases that improve productivity, output, speed, and quality.
  • Support teams in adopting new tools, workflows, and ways of working as the business becomes increasingly AI-enabled.
  • Stay current on relevant AI tools and applications so the brand remains ahead of the curve operationally.

Product Launch Coordination

  • Support building the new product pipeline and help move initiatives from planning into structured execution.
  • Coordinate with external partners and specialists involved in product development and launch readiness.
  • Post jobs, conduct interviews, and hire contractors or consultants as needed for launches, including regulatory specialists, patent or legal partners, industrial designers, graphic designers, photographers, videographers, and UGC creators.
  • Manage timelines, communication, and delivery with contractors and consultants.
  • Coordinate packaging design workflows and make sure assets, revisions, and approvals move efficiently.
  • Organize testing, feedback collection, revisions, and next steps for samples.
  • Ensure products are launch-ready by tracking details, approvals, documentation, and execution across all moving parts.

Launch Readiness

  • Coordinate photographers, videographers, and other creative vendors needed for launch execution.
  • Make sure all required details, assets, packaging, documents, and approvals are in place before launch.
  • Hold a high standard for detail and completeness so launches are not delayed by preventable issues.

What Success Looks Like

  • The business runs with more clarity, structure, and accountability.
  • Departments are aligned and working from clear priorities.
  • Teams operate at a higher level of output and follow-through.
  • Marketing teams are meeting KPIs and the brand is growing.
  • Launches move faster and more smoothly.
  • Vendors and specialists are coordinated well.
  • Fewer things fall through the cracks.
  • AI becomes embedded into day-to-day workflows in a practical way.
  • The founder and team can operate with more focus and less chaos.

Requirements

Who You Are

  • Highly organized, proactive, and execution-focused.
  • Highly productive and able to raise the output of the people around you.
  • Strong at building systems, managing moving parts, and keeping people accountable.
  • Exceptionally good at getting stuff done.
  • Highly self-motivated — batteries included.
  • Open to learning new skills, taking on new tasks, and adapting quickly in an agile environment.
  • A genuine learner who is curious, coachable, and continually improving.
  • Clear, direct, and confident in communication.
  • Good at conflict resolution and cross-functional coordination.
  • Calm under pressure and able to handle fast-paced environments without losing attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working closely with a founder and helping translate vision into execution.
  • Excited by AI and willing to help lead implementation across the business.
  • Detail-oriented enough to catch issues early and practical enough to solve them quickly.

Ideal Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in operations, project management, program management, brand operations, or a similar cross-functional role.
  • Experience in a D2C brand, e-commerce business, skincare, beauty, wellness, or consumer product company is strongly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of project management tools such as Asana, Notion, ClickUp, Monday.com, or similar.
  • Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, vendors, timelines, and launch deliverables.
  • Experience supporting multiple product launches, contractor or consultant coordination, or compliance-heavy execution is a strong plus.
  • Experience improving workflows, introducing new systems, or driving adoption of productivity tools is a strong plus.

This Role Is a Great Fit If You

  • Like building order out of chaos.
  • Enjoy leading execution across teams.
  • Take ownership instead of waiting for instructions.
  • Naturally notice what is missing, late, unclear, or off-track.
  • Want to be a key operator inside a growing brand rather than just manage one narrow function.
  • Are excited by the idea of helping build the internal engine of an ambitious skincare company.
  • Want a steep learning curve and broad exposure to how a brand performs end to end.

This Role Is Not for You If You

  • Prefer purely creative or purely marketing-focused roles.
  • Need constant direction to stay on track.
  • Avoid hard conversations or accountability.
  • Do not like dealing with people and following up firmly.
  • Struggle to manage multiple moving parts at once.
  • Like planning more than executing.
