At Vimeo, we empower individuals and businesses to harness the power of video with state-of-the-art video creation and editing solutions. Our community of professional and amateur filmmakers is at the heart of Vimeo, and we are committed to ensuring a safe and positive online environment where creativity can flourish.

As a Trust Safety Compliance Program Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing large scale regulatory projects to ensure the platform’s adherence to global laws and standards. You’ll work cross-functionally to translate complex legal and policy requirements into clear action plans, driving the implementation of new systems and processes. This role requires strategic thinking, operational excellence, and strong communication skills to align diverse stakeholders and ensure Vimeo remains compliant in an ever evolving regulatory landscape.

This role may be exposed to disturbing and/or sensitive content.

What you will do:

  • Lead and manage large-scale regulatory compliance projects from initial scoping through to completion, with a primary focus on major global laws like the Digital Services Act and the Online Safety Act
  • Proactively plan and execute initiatives - both technical and non-technical - to prepare for new and forthcoming regulatory requirements
  • Oversee and ensure ongoing compliance obligations by maintaining issue logs and conducting gap analyses to ensure continuous adherence
  • Manage all regulatory interactions, ensuring the prompt and accurate delivery of information for formal inquiries such as RFIs by coordinating contributions from relevant teams
  • Lead activities to monitor compliance controls, investigate any deviations, and confirm that our safeguards are effective. You will also manage the implementation of recommendations from internal and external audits
  • Engage in risk assessments, and then build and track mitigation strategies to address potential threats to compliance and user safety
  • Facilitate the strategic development and execution of compliance frameworks that are robust enough to handle current regulations while also being flexible enough to adapt to emerging challenges
  • Act as a bridge between internal teams to ensure that compliance standards and best practices are seamlessly integrated into product development and operational workflows
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance regulatory processes, leveraging insights and feedback to foster a culture of ongoing improvement within Trust Safety
  • Regularly communicate with senior leadership, in partnership with Legal and Operations, providing updates on project status, compliance gaps, strategic decisions, and prioritization

Skills and knowledge you should possess:

  • 5+ years of experience in UGC regulatory compliance, Trust Safety, program management, or a related field within the technology, internet, or digital services sector
  • Deep understanding of global regulatory frameworks such as the DSA, OSA, and other relevant emerging regulations impacting digital platforms
  • Proven program management experience with a strong ability to independently lead and deliver complex, cross-functional programs from end to end
  • Strong data literacy, with a working knowledge of data analysis tools and a demonstrated ability to translate legal requirements into technical specifications
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of effectively engaging and influencing senior leadership and aligning diverse teams
  • Experience preparing for audits or managing responses to regulatory inquiries (RFIs), and an ability to drive continuous process improvements
  • Ability to handle sensitive content and emotionally charged escalations with tact, and to work with a self-motivated, results-oriented mindset
  • Collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with a strong ability to work cross-functionally and manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

Base Salary Range:

  • NYC Metro, Bay Area, Seattle, Los Angeles: $101,000 - $139,250
  • All other US cities outside above metro areas: $90,900 - $125,325

Base salary is just one component of Vimeo’s total rewards philosophy. We offer a wide range of benefits and perks that appeal to the variety of needs across our diverse employee base! We also offer paid time off, generous 401k match, commuter benefits, Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), fertility reimbursement, group term life insurances, wellbeing resources, and more.
