At VERSES, we're shaping the future of computing with our natural computing platform, Genius. We're looking for a Software Engineering Director to lead our team of software developers, manage and oversee the design and development of our applications. We embrace entrepreneurs as well as those who come from more established companies.
βοΈ Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on machine learning, AI, cloud services, and agile development.
- Proven track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, AI concepts, cloud computing platforms, and agile development methodologies.
- Experience in managing large-scale, complex projects from conception to delivery.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and vendors.
π Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and technical leadership in the areas of key technologies, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
- Partner with the product organization to execute the product roadmap.
- Oversee and ensure proper agile development best practices.
- Develop and execute a technology roadmap that supports the company's growth and innovation strategy.
- Build, manage, and mentor a world-class engineering team, fostering an environment of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Drive the implementation of cutting-edge technologies and best practices across the engineering organization - including developing and track OKRs and team KPIs.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for technology-driven improvements and deliver scalable, reliable, and efficient solutions.
- Oversee the development, testing, and deployment of high-quality software, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and vendors.
- Continuously monitor emerging technologies and trends in machine learning, AI, cloud services, and agile development, and assess their potential impact on the company's products and services.
- Champion a culture of innovation, quality, and accountability within the engineering organization.

Starting at $190,000 for US based individuals; geographically adjusted as appropriate to location.
