About Unify America
Unify America’s mission is to replace political fighting with problem-solving. We design experiences that help Americans practice important civic skills, learn from one another, and work together on solutions to the country’s biggest challenges.
Our flagship experiences, the Unify Challenge and Deep Dive, bring students, educators, and citizens together for conversations that inspire civic curiosity and collaborative thinking.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Program Experience Coordinator to join our Creative team. This person will help keep our Unify Challenge and Deep Dive programs running smoothly, while continually refining the user experience with a careful, creative, data-informed touch.
This person is a steady systems thinker who enjoys making complex processes run beautifully. They’ll manage the recurring production cycle of our programs, perform hands-on QA of user experiences, and help identify elegant and cost-effective improvements that make our experiences feel unique and unmistakably “Unify.”
This is not a creative free-for-all or redesign role. It’s a perfect fit for someone who values craftsmanship and finds satisfaction in refinement, clarity, and subtle design that serves real human needs.
What You’ll Do
Program Operations
Maintain the Civic Gym production checklist for each seasonal cycle, driving the process of keeping our programs updated, constantly improving, and ready for users.
Work closely with our Project Manager to help coordinate timelines and workflows across our Creative, Tech, Partnerships, and Marketing teams.
Communicate regularly and effectively with the cross-functional team who needs to weigh in on and stay up-to-date on changes we make to our programs.
Ensure Typeform surveys, discussion guides, and other user-facing materials are built, tested, and released on schedule.
Keep discussion guides, feedback surveys, Typeform workspaces, and other assets organized and clearly labeled (and archive older materials).
Experience Stewardship
Review the end-to-end user experience for each program, from user sign-up through program completion, looking for places where we’re inconsistent in tone, where pacing could be improved, where instructions aren’t clear enough, etc.
Propose small, high-impact fixes.
Maintain alignment with Unify America’s brand tone: smart, credible, fun, authentic, welcoming.
Work with our Marketing team to ensure Civic Gym pages on our site accurately reflect the latest iterations of our products.
Data-Driven UX Refinement
Review and interpret user feedback, survey data, and video recordings of users interacting with our products.
Document insights and propose focused, evidence-based experiments to test next season.
Create post-event reports that highlight user experience outcomes and lessons learned.
Process Improvement
Look for opportunities to streamline production workflows and QA processes.
Suggest thoughtful, incremental product improvements that are both effective and cost-conscious.
Qualities and Experience You Have, Ideally
3–6 years of experience in program coordination, product operations, UX, or experience design.
Exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and methodical.
Good taste and intuition for what feels human, clear, and on-brand.
Creative thinking and the ability to constrain that creative thinking by seeking data and considering impact before proposing changes.
Confidence in reviewing digital user experiences and identifying areas for improvement.
Collaborative, good at giving and receiving feedback, and comfortable working cross-functionally.
An interest in Unify America’s mission and motivation to help our programs run smoothly and evolve wisely.
What Success Looks Like
Program launches are smooth, polished, and on time.
Participant experiences feel consistent and “on brand.”
Post-season reports include thoughtful, data-informed suggestions that make the next round even better.
The systems you maintain get a little smarter each season.
QA issues are caught early and documented clearly.
