About the Role

Our client, a game development company specialising in creating innovative gaming experiences is seeking a senior-level game designer and developer proficient in HTML5 and the Phaser framework. This is a long-term, remote position for a paid hire. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing a game for the company's indie studio and creative team.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the creative team to conceptualise and design an engaging and immersive gaming experience.
  • Utilise HTML5 and the Phaser framework to develop the game, ensuring optimal performance and cross-platform compatibility.
  • Implement game mechanics, levels, and user interfaces that enhance the overall gameplay experience.
  • Conduct play testing and iterate on the game design based on feedback and analytics.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a senior game designer and developer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful game projects.
  • Proficient in HTML5 and the Phaser framework, with a deep understanding of game development principles and best practices.
  • Expertise in game design, level design, and user interface design.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and innovatively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
