About the Role
Our client is seeking a freelance mastering engineer to refine and polish a song for their upcoming album. The style of the song is described as indie-pop, similar to the artist's existing songs on Spotify. The freelancer will be working remotely, and the project is expected to take one or two days to complete. The client is open to offers regarding the project budget.
Responsibilities:
- Review and understand the client's vision and desired sound for the track.
- Receive the unmixed audio files of the song from the client.
- Apply mastering techniques to enhance the overall sound quality
- Collaborate with the client, providing feedback and suggestions as needed.
- Deliver the mastered audio file(s) in the required format(s) and specifications.
- Ensure the mastered track meets industry standards and is ready for distribution or inclusion in the upcoming album.
Requirements
- Beginner to mid-level experience in music mastering and audio post-production.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard digital audio workstations (DAWs) and mastering software.
- Strong knowledge of audio engineering principles, including equalization, compression, and loudness management.
- Familiarity with mastering techniques for indie-pop and similar genres.
- Excellent critical listening skills and attention to detail.
