[Remote] Inpatient Coding & DRG Validator Analyst Description

Our client in the healthcare industry is looking for an Inpatient DRG Validator & Coding Analyst to add to their team. Reporting to the Manager of Revenue Integrity, you will conduct complex inpatient coding reviews and DRG validation reviews, ensure accurate documentation, and identify opportunities to optimize reimbursement. To thrive in this role, you must be a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) with strong inpatient coding experience, and expert knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS guidelines. [Remote] Inpatient Coding & DRG Validator Analyst Responsibilities

• Conduct inpatient coding and DRG validation reviews for accuracy and completeness
  • Validate ICD-10-CM and PCS codes, including principal and secondary diagnoses
  • Analyze medical record documentation and identify physician query opportunities
  • Maintain knowledge of CMS, OIG, AHA, and other regulatory standards
  • Meet productivity and quality targets while supporting multiple client engagements
  • Collaborate with internal teams to drive service line growth and operational improvements
  • Assist with coding education, training initiatives, and policy development

[Remote] Inpatient Coding & DRG Validator Analyst Qualifications

• Current Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification required
  • 3+ years of inpatient coding experience required
  • 2+ years of DRG validation experience required
