Main Responsibilities:
- Reviewing, analyzing and classifying trial court documents and docket entries (including legal briefs and court orders/rulings) to help improve our AI and machine learning.
- Utilizing custom web-based software to review dockets, orders, and filed docs, and work with team of other lawyers identifying/effectively communicating legal nuance and product feedback to the machine learning team.
- Working directly with legal team and Machine Learning team to help engineers and data scientists understand legal documents, and court dockets, and continuously work as a team to help improve legal classification algorithms.
- Have a seat at the table as we continue to iterate the product and have a direct impact on the success of the company.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- JD degree from accredited law school.
- Bar: any U.S. jurisdiction preferred.
- As work from home is required, applicants must be able to provide their own computer, monitor, and internet connection.
- Civil litigation experience, including and/or familiarity with navigating state trial court websites, dockets, and civil litigation procedures, filings, and orders.
- Effective communicator, ability work collaboratively.
- Diligence, keen attention to detail; being efficient while maintaining quality.
- Must take pride in your work-product and hold yourself accountable.
- Have a positive attitude (a real desire to join our team and help it thrive).
Compensation and Benefits:
- Base Salary: Depends on experience.
