Meet The Team:

The Director of Change Management will play a crucial role in guiding Torc leaders and employees through its cultural transformation, ensuring that changes are implemented smoothly and effectively with PEOPLE remaining the focus of the impact of change. The Director will act as a strategic partner to the business and People Operations, fostering a collaborative environment and supporting large-scale change.

What You'll Do:

  • As Torc’s Change Management Leader, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to assess the impact of changes, develop strategies to manage resistance, and facilitate the adoption of new processes, technologies, or organizational structures. You will lead the implementation of change initiatives, ensuring alignment with the established strategies and timelines. This role will include but not be limited to:
  • Engaging with Key Stakeholders:
    • Identify and engage key stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
    • Build strong relationships and communicate effectively to gain buy-in and support for proposed changes.
  • Developing Change Strategy and Building Change Management Capability
    • Collaborate with Senior leadership and key stakeholders to define the vision and objectives of change initiatives.
    • Develop comprehensive change management strategies, tools and processes tailored to the specific needs and culture of the organization.
    • Design and deliver training programs to aid leaders and employees in driving change across the organization.
    • Provide ongoing support and guidance across the organization to support change.
  • Conducting Change Impact Assessments:
    • Assess the potential impact of changes on various aspects of the organization, including people, processes, and systems.
    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize disruptions.
  • Leveraging Data Analytics and Technology:
    • Measure the effectiveness of change initiatives, identify areas of improvement, and make data driven decisions.
    • Streamline change management processes and improve communication and training efforts.
  • Developing, Leading and Coordinating Change Related Communications:
    • Develop clear and compelling communication plans to keep stakeholders informed and inspired throughout the change process.
    • Deliver timely and relevant messages using various communication channels to ensure transparency, clarity and delivery.
  • Managing Resistance to Change and Lead Change Initiatives:
    • Coordinate and lead the implementation of change initiatives, ensuring alignment with the established strategies and timelines.
    • Monitor progress and measure the effectiveness of change efforts, adjusting as needed to achieve desired outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
    • Proactively monitor change initiatives to identify sources of resistance to change and develop strategies to address them.
    • Provide coaching and support to leaders and employees to help them navigate through challenges and embrace change.
  • Staying Current:
    • Continually update knowledge on the latest HR, change management and communications trends and best practices.
    • Apply these trends and practices to Torc’s change management and communication strategies.
    • Provide training and updates to Torc stakeholders on these trends.
  • Coaching and Collaboration:
    • Act as a coach to business and HR leaders and employees, providing guidance and support in implementing change initiatives.
    • Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging open communication and teamwork.
    • Support leaders in managing resistance to change and in fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • People Management:
    • Manage employees, including the internal communication and employee experience functions.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership, Organizational Psychology, Project Management or a similarly related field strongly preferred.
    • MBA or other relevant graduate level education is a plus.
  • 7 years experience in change management or other related experience, preferably in a consulting or corporate environment, with a strong track record of results and demonstrated application of change management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, and a passion for leading people through change.
  • Ability to motivate others, especially during times of uncertainty and ambiguity.
  • Analytical mindset, with a people focus, and an ability to assess complex situations and develop practical solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead cross-functional change identifying key stakeholders, and building relationships to meet high priority business needs on time.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth, nimble work environment.
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, with a strong desire to learn and effectively apply learnings within an evolving industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong business insight and judgment, team orientation and collaborative style.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines in an effective, discrete, and sensitive manner.
  • May require periods of significant travel to domestic and international locations.

  • Experience working in a dynamic/start-up environment that is experiencing rapid growth and change.
  • Proven track record of having an impact in organizations with 1,000 + employees working primarily remote/hybrid.
  • Driven, curious, and motivated for personal and professional growth.
  • Excitement for autonomous technology, and enthusiasm for joining Torc.
  • Certification in change management, such as Prosci Change Management Institute is a plus.
