Are you passionate about understanding user needs and championing exceptional user experiences? We’re looking for a User Experience (UX) Researcher to join us at Thinkific.
As a UX Researcher, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth user research using various methods such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing. You’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Experience Designers, and other cross-functional teams at Thinkific to uncover insights, validate solutions, and advocate for our customers. Reporting to the UX Research Manager, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring that our customers’ voices are not only heard but amplified, guiding our decision-making across the organization.
Your goal will be to drive impactful insights that inform product decisions and enhance user experiences. Here’s how you’ll accomplish this:
- Engage in systematic customer research initiatives to gain a deep understanding of user needs and preferences, utilizing a variety of in-depth research methods (interviews, surveys, usability tests etc.)
- Collaborate closely with Experience Designers, Product Managers, and other teams to ensure our products remain aligned with evolving customer expectations and needs
- Develop and maintain communication assets and frameworks (such as personas and user journeys) to support alignment, decision making, and ensure a user-centered approach
- Proactively advocate for the implementation of customer feedback throughout the product development lifecycle to validate and de-risk solutions
- Drive continuous improvement in UX research processes and practices, implementing scalable solutions to support the execution and consumption of research at Thinkific
The person we have in mind likely:
- Has a minimum of 3 years of experience in UX research, with a proven track record of delivering impactful insights
- Is proficient in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, and has strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Is an excellent communicator with the ability to maintain engagement and clarity with business partners
- Enjoys, and has a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
- Loves to learn and grow. They’ve found (and keep looking for) ways to level up their skills in this field, whether that’s through formal education, gaining professional experience, or maybe even building their own business
These things would also be nice, but we think you could learn them on the job:
- Lean & Continuous Discovery experience
- Quantitative data analysis skills
- Experience within the Creator Economy space
- Experience with sketching toolkits like Figma
- A background in social sciences and an in-depth understanding of qualitative research
The recruitment compensation range for this position is $90,000 - $105,000 CAD
