As the Director of Technical SEO, you will be a key leader within our digital marketing team, responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive technical SEO strategy that maximizes our online visibility and drives organic traffic. Your role will involve overseeing a team of technical SEO specialists, collaborating closely with content creators, and working alongside web developers to ensure our website is optimized for search engines. You will play a critical role in shaping the overall SEO strategy, monitoring and analyzing performance, and staying at the forefront of SEO trends and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive technical SEO strategy to increase organic search traffic, rankings, and visibility.
- Lead a team of technical SEO specialists, setting clear goals, providing guidance, and fostering their professional development.
- Collaborate with content creators to align SEO efforts with content strategies, ensuring that new and existing content is optimized for search engines.
- Work closely with web developers to implement technical SEO recommendations, including site architecture, page speed improvements, and schema markup.
- Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, and on-page optimization to enhance the website's SEO performance.
- Monitor and report on SEO performance, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, search engine algorithm changes, and emerging SEO best practices to drive continuous improvements.
- Drive a culture of SEO excellence within the organization, educating teams on the importance of SEO and advocating for its integration into various projects.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in technical SEO, with a strong track record of driving organic search growth.
- Previous experience managing a team of SEO professionals.
- Deep understanding of search engine algorithms, on-page and off-page SEO, and technical SEO best practices.
- Proven ability to develop and implement successful SEO strategies, including keyword research, on-site optimization, and link building.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to make informed decisions and recommendations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with e-commerce SEO and experience in the retail or couponing industry is a plus.
