Director, SEO Services

At Raptive, we want to empower our creators in many more areas than just advertising, and SEO is a key focus area for their businesses. We're seeking a dynamic Director of SEO Services to join our team. In this role, you'll help the VP of SEO services lead our dedicated team of content strategy specialists, working with top content creators to implement evidence-based SEO strategies. We're looking for a data-driven leader with a proven track record of testing and validating methodologies and establishing SEO best practices.

At Raptive's SEO Services organization, we pair a comprehensive SEO education program with state-of-the-art in-house tools, empowering our top creators to amplify organic traffic and revenue. Our innovations include AI-driven content optimization systems, powerful SEO testing tools that deliver actionable insights, and a recommendation engine pinpointing content ready for enhancement. What you’ll be doing:

• Work directly with Raptive’s largest creators on their SEO strategy using a data-driven approach
• Help manage an offering that can be scaled across our broad range of creators but with a particular focus on our largest creators
• Help create efficient processes for interacting with creators
• Coach and mentor direct reports, create a strong culture that fosters DEI and provide regular performance feedback
• Help drive the execution and strategy of Raptive’s SEO offering,
• Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, analytics, marketing, communications, and customer-facing teams to ensure creator success from an SEO perspective

The skills and experience you bring to the job:

• Expert within the field of SEO and specifically from the perspective of content creators
• Experience working directly with creators
• Experience managing content teams or direct editorial experience
• Experience leading and growing teams with a strong focus on an inclusive culture
• Experience scaling workflows and processes
• Effective leadership skills, with the ability to drive impact in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills with internal stakeholders, partners, and clients and the ability to turn complex ideas into actionable and understandable materials
• Ability to drive impact in situations with a high level of ambiguity
• 2+ years of experience leading and growing teams, including experience leading a remote team
• 10 years of SEO or relevant experience in the digital publishing industry
• Strong ability to analyze data, build compelling stories, and align diverse stakeholders around a unified vision
• Experience in a startup or similar fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.

The base salary range for this position is $120,000-$170,000. The range provided is Raptive’s reasonable estimate of the annualized base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, geographic location, knowledge, skills and abilities. This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation that isn’t included in the posted range.
