Compensation: Up to $180k (location-based) + Equity/Token
Location: Flexible Remote (US to Europe preferred range)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Backend Integrations Engineer (Python) to design and implement scalable backend systems that bridge on-chain and off-chain infrastructures. This role focuses on integrating DeFi protocols and financial systems while ensuring scalability, performance, and clean architecture.

Youll collaborate closely with backend and trading teams to expand infrastructure across multiple blockchains and support institutional DeFi operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop scalable backend systems using Python in a microservice architecture.

• Design and implement integrations between blockchain protocols and traditional financial systems.

• Write clean, maintainable, testable, and Pythonic code leveraging modern design patterns.

• Design and manage data models and storage systems using PostgreSQL.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to scale multi-chain infrastructure and support backend pricing and settlement services.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 3+ years of professional experience in backend software development.

• Strong understanding of OOP principles, design patterns, and Python microservice architectures.

• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.

• Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.

• Background in high-scale products, fintech, or blockchain organizations, working in cross-functional teams.

• Hands-on experience integrating with on-chain protocols, interacting with Solidity/EVM smart contracts, and parsing DeFi transactions.

• Demonstrable track record of on-chain or DeFi project delivery (GitHub links or production project examples preferred).

Bonus Skills:

• Knowledge of blockchain and traditional finance systems.

• Experience with Web3.py and smart contract interactions.

• Familiarity with Solidity and EVM-compatible blockchains.

• Experience in data engineering or data pipelines.

Compensation & Logistics

• Salary: Up to $180k depending on location.
