Location: Remote (Europe or Americas time zones with San Francisco overlap)

About the Role

Were looking for a Founding Engineer to join a small, world-class technical team and take ownership of the systems powering a fast-scaling financial platform. You'll work directly with the founders, shaping product direction, architecture, and culture from day one.

This is a role for someone who thrives in high-autonomy, high-impact environments building across the full stack, shipping quickly, and helping design the foundation of a product that could reach millions of users worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Build across the stack: backend (TypeScript/Node), mobile app (React Native/Expo), and smart contracts (Solidity).

• Define and enforce engineering standards, architecture, and technical best practices.

• Ship quickly and iteratively while maintaining product reliability and user trust.

• Contribute directly to product and design decisions alongside leadership.

• Mentor future hires and help scale a strong, high-performance engineering culture.

• Own major systems end-to-end, from infrastructure to user experience.

Required Qualifications

• 35+ years of professional experience building and shipping production software.

• Strong generalist background with the ability to work across backend, mobile, and on-chain systems.

• Experience in high-growth or early-stage start-up environments.

• Passion for building great products fast, reliable, and delightful to use.

• Excitement to take on broad scope early and grow into a technical leadership or founding CTO-type role.

• Infrastructure: AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform

• Culture: Extreme programming fast iteration, daily communication, customer-driven development

Compensation & Logistics

• Base Salary: Up to $250K USD

• Equity/Tokens: 0.751.5%

• Location: Remote (Europe or Americas time zones with overlap to San Francisco)
