What we need
The Technical Control Engineer will play a hands-on role in proper operations of theSymboticsystem at ourClient’ssite. The qualified candidate willbe responsible forreceiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end-user help requests. The candidate will alsoassistin problem resolution that is involved with the operations.
What we do
The Technical Control Engineer is part of theService Operations Organizationorganizationthat partners with cross functional teams to troubleshoot, prioritize,documentand actively resolve or escalate enduser helprequests & site system issues. They are a key partner in resolving site alarms and escalating issuesimpactingour robotics systems to other SME withinSymbotic.
Whatyou’lldo
Demonstrate knowledge of plant and process safety rules, safe operating methods, and good housekeeping standards.
Field incominghelprequests from end-users through a variety of avenues such asemail,chatand CRM.
Develop help sheets and knowledge base articles for end-users.
Test fixes to ensure the problem has been adequately resolved.
Perform post-resolution follow-ups tohelprequests.
Perform ongoing activities such as backups, trend analyzing, I/O checks,etctoassistwith on-site issues.
Reading schematics, OEM manuals, and user guides to troubleshoot systems integrated withSymboticequipment
Remotelyassistingsite teams with troubleshooting advanced electro-mechanical issues using video conferencing software and other remote support tools.
Respond to any equipment downtime issues in the plant andestablishany required outside resources toassistin resolving issues quickly.
Train and develop the plant electricians to increase their ability to understand and troubleshoot controls related issues inebugPLC/Robot/HMI program to improve existing automatedprocess.

Whatyou’llneed
Minimum of 3 years industrialcontrolsexperience.
Basic understanding of Ladder Logic, Allen BradleyRSLogix5000,RSLogix500, and FactoryTalk View software.
Troubleshooting, replace,modifyexperience with PLC/Robot, HMIs and VFDs; (programming experience a plus).
Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
Experience with programming and troubleshooting robots such as ABB or Fanuc.
Knowledge of advanced sensor programming, including scanners, distance sensors, encoders.
A working knowledge of communication networks (Ethernet,Profinet, Profibus).
Strong electrical experienceusing;Schematics, Multimeter, Megohmmeter and Oscilloscope.
Significant experiencewith DDC (direct digital control) systems and control theory.
Ability to read mechanical,electricaland pneumatic drawings.
Ability to travel forinitialtraining to Site location(s) for hands-on experience and travel as needed for site support thereafter.
Musthave a valid driver’s license.
Our Environment
Up to 10% of travel may berequired.Employeemust have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
The employee is responsibleto owna credit card andmanageexpenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.

The base range for this position in the posted location is $71,000.00 - $97,900.00 however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K, PTO and/or other benefits.
