Location: Position reports to our Bothell, Washington office and may work remotely.
Responsibilities Include:
- Define the overall strategy and goals for the website design system.
- Develop detailed product designs
- Create a cohesive design system and component library based on the context of the product (iOS, Android, web)
- Apply expertise of user-centered design to create intuitive and user-friendly product interfaces
- Conduct competitive market research to understand user needs and habits, and industry trends
- Analyze user feedback and research results to identify pain points and opportunities
- Generate ideas and concepts for new products or product improvements
- Sketch initial concepts and create design briefs or specifications
- Test and iterate on prototypes to validate design concepts, usability, and functionality
- Gather user feedback and make necessary adjustments
- Balance multiple design projects, including giving input on realistic timelines, effective milestones, and quality deliverables
- Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure the final product meets design specifications and standards
- Create design libraries, style guides, and design system components for consistency and scalability
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in User Experience Design, Human-Centered Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or closely related field
- 4 years’ experience with designing digital experiences (user dashboards, account portals, information design) on both iOS and Android, using design software (Figma, Sketch, Adobe CS), and front- and back-end system design.
- Will accept a Master’s degree in User Experience Design, Human-Centered Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or closely related field plus 2 years of stated experience gained before during or after master’s degree
