About the team

Our Finance and Strategy team (FS) are strategic business partners to Stripe’s leaders, providing clear insights which simplify the complexity of the business, and drive the key operating forums to enable effective decision-making. This is a newly created role in FS with responsibility to build and scale a Program Management Office (PMO) and establish an offshore Finance Center of Excellence (CoE) to support the growing FS function. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with leaders across finance, providing thought leadership and execution support for driving a portfolio of cross functional projects and building a scalable Center of Excellence organization.

What you’ll do

Responsibilities

• Develop, and implement a program management strategy to lead a portfolio of projects across FS
• Drive execution of complex cross-functional finance initiatives across Stripe - financial systems, accounting, data science, product
• Develop and implement the strategic vision and roadmap for offshore FS Center of Excellence aligning with overall organization goals
• Lead the CoE team in identifying processes, defining best practices, methodologies and standards that the FS team can effectively offshore and scale
• Evaluate and establish key metrics and KPIs to continuously access and evaluate the performance of the CoE, identifying areas for improvement and further investment to scale effectively
• Establish a monthly cadence of recurring deliverables for the CoE
• Manage a team of project managers to lead projects and manage the PMO office
• Hire and manage a team of offshore resources to deliver on core FPA deliverables through the FS CoE
• Collaborate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in FS and across the organization

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related fields required
• 12+ years of experience with 7+ years of proven program/ project / process management experience
• Experience in building and leading offshore corporate functions
• Excellent analytical, financial and problem solving skills using data
• Success in crafting and articulating ideas and plans to both management and peers in the context of business priorities and needs
• Strong communication skills including conflict resolution, team management, and presentations
• Self-motivated; takes initiative to do further analysis when deeper insights can be achieved
• Collaborative facilitator who develops relationships and loyalty with their colleagues across all business functions and levels

Preferred qualifications

• An MS or MBA degree is desirable
• Experience with various project management and process management tools
• Experience in building and leading offshore teams and across multiple geographies
