Startup Data Analyst

Your Role

The role of Data Manager is that of the leader of StartupBlink’s Data department. The selected candidate will lead all of the company’s Data efforts, including the development of innovation-related indexes (rankings), ad-hoc projects involving the database or coding algorithms, management of the Data team and shaping the quarterly and yearly goals of the department. The Data Manager is also a member of the leadership team, shaping the company’s overall strategy.

The selected candidate must have a Professional level of English, a deep understanding of Startup Ecosystems and be an independent worker with leadership skills, developing and executing the plans of the Data department.

As a Data Manager, you will be crucial in building the future of startup ecosystems around the world through the development of data-driven insights.

What we look for:

2+ years of experience (If you don't have 2 years of experience, but if you are interested in startup ecosystems and confident in your data skills, do not hesitate to apply.)

You are highly motivated and interested in economic development and specifically in startup ecosystems, and want to work together with an established and fun team.

Please note that a full command of English at a professional level, including excellent writing and communication skills, is a critical requirement for this role.

A bonus would be active previous involvement with startup ecosystems, e.g., working in a startup-related organization.

Proficiency with Excel / Google Sheets is a must. Familiarity with Python and SQL is very advantageous, but not required.

Responsibilities of This Role

• Lead the development and research for the innovation-related indexes (rankings) published by StartupBlink.
• Lead ad-hoc projects related to Data.
• Act as a link/project manager for the Python team.
• Constantly work to increase the quantity and quality of StartupBLink’s database.
• Develop the quarterly and yearly goals/roadmap of the Data department.
• Become a member of StartupBlink’s leadership team, participating in the strategic conversations about the company’s direction.
• Work closely with other departments on their Data-related requests.

The process and conditions

• The starting monthly salary will range depending on experience and skills, and will grow as you help the company achieve its goals.
• There will be initial filtering questions, or a test task valuation, and several interviews, so you can get to know our team in the process.
• This contract includes 26 days a year of paid vacation.
