SolarPlus

In 2011, Glen Morris and Laurie Kane recognized a critical gap in the solar industry. While running their own solar installation business, they experienced firsthand the inefficiencies, compliance challenges, and time-consuming processes that plagued the sector. They envisioned a comprehensive solution that would transform how solar professionals designed, modeled, and sold solar systems. Partnering with the Australian Solar Council, their vision quickly gained traction, leading to the founding of Solaris and the official launch of SolarPlus in August 2012 at an Australian Solar Council roadshow.

Over the past decade, SolarPlus has evolved from a local Australian startup into a global powerhouse in solar design and sales software. The company expanded internationally in 2016 when Solaris bought out the Australian Solar Council's stake, and continued to attract strategic investment from industry leaders. Major milestones include the launch of SolarPlus V3 with New Zealand and international support, the introduction of price-book features for improved inventory management, and a complete 3D map designer rebuild for enhanced building and array visualization. The platform modernization culminated in 2023-24 with SolarPlus V5, establishing the company as the world's most powerful solar, storage, and electrification modeling and sales platform.

Today, SolarPlus empowers over 6,000 solar and battery installers and engineers worldwide with advanced software tools to design and model efficient, sustainable energy systems. From small residential installations to complex commercial and industrial infrastructure projects, the platform supports the entire customer journey from feasibility assessment through installation. SolarPlus remains committed to driving the global transition to renewable energy, enabling their clients to deliver superior solutions for residential and commercial customers while fostering a greener and more sustainable future for our planet.
