SOFTGAMES is currently looking for a strategic and results-driven Marketing Analyst (f/m/x) to strengthen our Analytics team. This role is crucial for optimizing our marketing spend and driving user acquisition growth across all channels.

You’ll interact with other Game Data Analysts & Data Engineers (your peers), and key stakeholders in the User Acquisition, Creative, Product, and Finance departments to provide a deep understanding of marketing performance, ROAS development, and player LTV curves.

The ideal candidate will be an analytical and strategic thinker who enjoys deep-diving into multi-channel marketing data, has a proven track record of generating actionable recommendations that optimize spend, and stays up-to-date with digital marketing, attribution, and competitive trends.

Qualified applicants will be expected to complete a technical assessment. This is a fully remote, full-time, permanent position.

This role requires a deep understanding of digital marketing channels, attribution methodologies, and strong analytical skills, with a focus on translating data into commercial value. We’re looking for someone who can mentor junior analysts, own the strategic reporting, and provide the insights that drive our marketing success.

Your Role:

  • Lead Performance Analysis: Analyze UA performance across key mobile channels (e.g., AppLovin, Unity, ironSource, Mintegral, Meta, Google AC, TikTok) to identify efficiency gaps and scale opportunities.

  • Advanced Attribution & LTV Modeling: Develop and maintain predictive LTV (pLTV) models that account for hybrid monetization (IAP + Ad Revenue). Own the strategy for SKAdNetwork (SKAN) conversion value schemas to maximize signal recovery on iOS.

  • Creative Analytics: Partner with the Creative team to analyze asset performance beyond just CTR—diving into IPM (Installs Per Mille), Hook Rates, and Hold Rates to inform the production of high-performing video and playable ads.

  • Full-Funnel Optimization: Design and oversee rigorous A/B tests for store pages (ASO/CPP), creative concepts, and bid strategies to improve the entire conversion funnel

  • Reporting Infrastructure: Own the development of intuitive, self-service dashboards (Tableau/Looker) that track real-time UA health (e.g., Cohort ROAS, CPI trends, payback periods) for UA Managers and C-level execs.

  • Conduct in-depth market segmentation, competitive analysis, and customer journey mapping to uncover new acquisition and retention opportunities.

  • Data Integrity & MMP Management: Collaborate with Data Engineering to ensure data quality between our MMP (Adjust/AppsFlyer), BI stack, and ad networks. Validate data ingestion pipelines and attribution windows.

  • Provide strategic, data-backed recommendations to Marketing leadership that directly influence budget allocation and future campaign strategy.

  • Mentor and guide junior marketing analysts on best practices for data analysis and reporting.

Your Profile:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Marketing Analyst or Performance/Growth Analyst, preferably in a B2C or gaming company.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Economics).

  • Advanced expertise in SQL for complex data querying and manipulation.

  • Mobile Ecosystem Fluency: Deep understanding of the mobile ad tech stack, including MMPs (Adjust, AppsFlyer), Ad Mediation (Max, LevelPlay), and Programmatic/DSP mechanics.

  • Expert-level experience with digital marketing platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads) and web/app analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, AppsFlyer/Adjust).

  • Proven mastery of a data visualization tool (e.g., Tableau, Looker, PowerBI) for developing executive-level dashboards.

  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis, cohort analysis, and experimentation/A/B testing methodology.

  • Ability to translate complex, multi-source marketing data into clear, influential business insights and recommendations.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills for working across multiple functional teams.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Plus:

  • Experience in gaming/product company, doing Analytics at scale, preferably in products across different platforms (web, mobile app).

  • Deep theoretical and practical knowledge of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, hypothesis testing, and experimental design, extensive experience with experimentation and causal inference from observational data.

  • Hands-on experience with production data science and MLOps principles for model deployment, monitoring, and maintenance in a cloud environment (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience analyzing Ad Revenue (IAA) performance and waterfall optimizations.

  • Hands-on experience with Python/R for predictive modeling (e.g., predicting D180 LTV based on D3 behavior).

  • Familiarity with web-to-app flows or third-party payment store analysis.

  • Experience working with Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) for iOS measurement.

We are SOFTGAMES, a leading developer of popular Instant Games. Our mission is to enable everyone to instantly play great casual games with their friends across any device. Our flagship titles like 'Cookie Crush', 'Solitaire Story', and 'Candy Match' are enjoyed by tens of millions of users every month. Since our founding in October 2006 by brothers Andre and Alexander Krug, we've grown from a small operation in a parent's garage, initially building J2ME Games for large German TV stations, to a global presence with offices in Berlin, Germany, and Toronto, Canada.

Our journey has been one of continuous evolution and adaptation. We hired our first interns and moved into our first office in 2007. By 2010, we pivoted to developing freemium web browser games in XHTML, anticipating the rise of the smartphone era. A significant milestone came in 2012 when we began to focus exclusively on HTML5 games. This strategic shift positioned us as a pioneer in HTML5 gaming, leading to our selection as one of only 15 exclusive launch partners for Facebook's Instant Games in 2016. This partnership was a pivotal moment, allowing us to reach a massive global audience. Our game 'Cookie Crush' became a testament to this success, growing from 0 to 3 million users within a week and becoming the most successful Match-3 Instant Game at the time. We've since launched other successful titles like 'Solitaire Story' and 'Bubble Shooter Pro,' which became the largest game on Facebook Instant Games. We are passionate about creating hypersocial games that billions of people can play together, and we partner closely with major platforms like Facebook and Samsung to achieve this. Our portfolio now includes over 400 hyper-casual games on our innovative HTML5 games platform, which helps our partners engage and retain their users. We are a remote-first company, fostering a culture of proactive, independent teams with the freedom to innovate and create fun, everlasting Instant Games.
