We are seeking a dedicated Analytics Developer/Business Intelligence Developer to lead the creation, execution, and continuous refinement of our analytics and business intelligence reporting initiatives. This pivotal role requires a blend of technical proficiency and leadership skills to not only elevate the quality of our reporting systems but also foster the development of our reporting capabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Master Data Management: Work with the DBA team on the creation and ongoing management of master data processes utilizing SQL, ensuring the highest standards of data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across the organization.
  • Data Quality and Cleaning: Address data quality issues, clean transactional data, and contribute to the enhancement of overall data quality, thereby improving the trustworthiness of analytics results.
  • Analytics Development: Develop and implement robust data-driven solutions using SQL and higher-level coding languages, focusing on optimizing data schema and structure to unlock meaningful insights.
  • Business Intelligence Development: Create dynamic reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI, or Jupyter Notebooks. This role requires a strong foundation in SQL and a deep understanding of the specific data needs within the business.
  • Self-Serve Analytics Support: Support the establishment and maintenance of self-service analytics platforms, enabling teams across the organization to extract and analyze data independently.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a Master’s degree being a significant plus.
  • Demonstrable experience in analytics and business intelligence development, with a strong emphasis on master data management.
  • Proficient in SQL, with the ability to efficiently create data visualizations and a solid foundation in Python.
  • A keen interest in progressing towards a Data Engineer/Full Stack Developer role.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Extensive background in database technologies, evidenced by a successful history in database design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Comprehensive expertise in major database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and familiarity with cloud-based database platforms (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure Database).
  • A track record of optimizing databases for performance, conducting performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Advanced SQL programming skills, along with knowledge of other programming languages.
  • Expertise in data modeling and database design principles, with the ability to develop scalable database architectures.
  • Excellent communication skills, characterized by clarity, empathy, and respect in interactions with both team members and internal stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership ability, with a strong desire to lead and grow a team in a collaborative and progressive environment.
  • Commitment to mentoring and guiding team members, fostering an atmosphere of learning and development.
