About Rundoo ℹ️

Rundoo’s mission is to build cutting-edge software that helps building materials suppliers enhance their businesses. Think of your local hardware store or mom and pop shop—these are our clients who we partner with across the country. From paint to hardware to flooring, stores across these industries sell over $1T of building materials annually using outdated, on-premises systems. About Rundoo

View company profile

At Rundoo, we are revolutionizing the building materials supply industry through groundbreaking technology. Our mission is to empower building materials suppliers by providing them with an all-in-one, modern software platform. For too long, this vital sector, representing a significant portion of the GDP, has been underserved by outdated, patchwork software systems – many of them still DOS-based. We recognized the immense need for a comprehensive, cloud-based solution that streamlines every aspect of a supplier's operations, from point-of-sale and inventory management to payment processing and accounting. Our platform is designed to bring these traditionally offline transactions into the digital age, creating better experiences for both contractors and homeowners.

Our journey began when co-founders Nick Hershey and Andrew Beckman, driven by a desire to build something truly helpful, identified the frustrations within the trades. Initially focusing on a B2B marketplace called Runner to simplify ordering and delivery, they soon realized the core issue was the antiquated software used by supply stores. This insight led to the evolution of Rundoo into the comprehensive platform it is today, built with the trust and input of industry leaders. We are committed to long-term innovation and unmatched customer support, consciously choosing to grow organically and reinvest in our product rather than seeking a quick exit through acquisition by private equity firms that might compromise quality and service. Rundoo is built to last, designed to grow with our customers and ensure they have the tools to thrive in a digital world while maintaining the heart of their community-focused businesses.
