Main responsibilities:
- One Face One Customer: Single Point of Contact calling on customers in the territory on a regular basis to grow the business in all project market segments, according to the guidelines established.
- Grow business in all project market segments by calling on assigned customers on a regular basis to ensure RP are invited, considered and possibly preferred by key stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain active relationships with buying influences and develop new relationships to maintain and grow customer / territory interactions through extended RP offerings and solutions.
- Identify ways for RP to extend our relationship with existing customers through defining needs and applying suggested solutions, which may benefit customer metrics.
- Represent all Ruhrpumpen products as defined in sales strategies.
- Partner with customers to understand project specifications and scope requirements to ensure proposals are generated to meet requirements.
- Negotiate orders, including all technical, commercial, and legal terms and conditions to mutual satisfaction of all parties.
- Travel to customer locations to ensure close and regular face to face contact per company guidelines.
- Entertain customers during and outside normal business hours on a regular basis.
- Responsible for all customer / territory communications and interactions through daily update in CRM and forecasts which includes industry / market / account competitive analysis to support management strategy development.
- Maintain all company tools in good working order.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar.
- Candidates must be fluent in English, other languages such as German, Dutch, and/or French may be considered beneficial to the region or role.
- Extensive understanding of the Engineering contractor process; from feasibility to construction.
- Thorough understanding of tender processes including technical specifications combined with the ability to translate requirements into product sales strategies.
- Confidence to proactively develop Engineering accounts and challenge customers to accept new ideas.
- Understanding of customer objectives; identifying new accounts and ability to translate into a strategic vision for implementation.
- Upon training the Project Sales role is expected to size, select pumps and be able to produce new equipment proposals utilizing RP quotation & CRM tools.
- Availability and willingness to travel to customer locations up to 50% of the time.
