Job Description

The recipe author role is responsible for creating and maintaining our clients' manufacturing execution system (MES) master recipes and associated functionality. The recipe author will become intimate with the standard functionality of our pharmaceutical MES application, PharmaSuite®, and work directly with clients and under the supervision of an recipe architect to optimize and convert paper recipes or migrate recipes from legacy systems. The ideal candidate is communicative, motivated, interested in technology/informatics, and excited to contribute to the growth of such a critically important industry.

This role reports to the Recipe Consulting Team Lead and is located remotely or near our long-term client locations.

What you will do

  • Become familiar with clients' manufacturing processes and learn standard process steps for primary/secondary manufacturing of pharmaceutical products, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API), Biopharmaceutical, Medical Devices, and like life sciences manufacturing environments

  • Recipe authoring and configuration for master batch records and master batch record templates using FactoryTalk PharmaSuite

  • Become conversant with client-specific application customizations based on project assignments

  • Build partnerships with client counterparts

  • Participate and support the definition and analysis of functional requirements through client interviews and develop detailed recipe designs that meet the requirements

  • Collaborating with clients for coordination, change management, and application knowledge of recipes

  • Collaboration with recipe architect and other recipe builders/testers

  • Rigorously adhere to client and internal quality methodologies and procedures

The Essentials - You Will Have :

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field

  • Valid Drivers License - Willing and able to travel and work at client sites. Travel can vary based on assignment from 0% to 50% but averages 25%

  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening

The Preferred - You May Also Have:

  • 4+ years (approx.) of professional experience producing technical/functional work product

  • A bachelor's degree in liberal arts and science or equivalent

  • Prior MES experience with PharmaSuite

  • Knowledge of S88/S95 models (a design philosophy for describing equipment and procedures)

  • Proven communication and documentation skills

  • A high level of motivation, personal engagement, flexibility, and willingness to learn and grow with gained experience

  • Abstract thinking ability for developing technically sustainable, robust, performant, as simple as possible, and maintainable recipe designs

  • Ability and willingness to learn the numerous functionalities (mainly of Rockwell Software PharmaSuite®) but as well as client and life science industry requirements

  • Detail oriented, methodical, and conscious work ethic producing high quality deliverables

  • Self-driven and ability to complete objectives without a high degree of oversight

  • An effective collaborator with internal team members and with external clients

For this role, the compensation is from $101,120 - $151,680. Our company benefits for the US can be found here. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
