Product Designer

What is the job?

RDX Works is on the hunt for a detail-oriented, UX-focused Product Designer to join our quest to redefine the future of decentralized finance (DeFi). We're looking for a visionary, a trailblazer ready to shape the UX and UI across a diverse range of groundbreaking products.

As part of our growing band of designers, you'll work closely with our Head of Design, Aftab Arab, contributing to the product design function. You'll have the chance to create industry-defining designs, challenging current Web3 paradigms and mentor everyone around you as we expand our team.

You'll be a pivotal force, collaborating with stakeholders and technical team members, spearheading the discovery process, conducting insightful research, and orchestrating user-testing. You'll refine your wireframes, not settling for good, but striving for perfection. Your role doesn't stop at design; you'll be invested in the implementation process with developers and keenly observe how real customers interact with your designs post-launch. You'll deftly navigate the complexities of payment processes, financial terminologies, AML/KYC processes, Web3, and decentralized technology, all the while prioritizing the needs and experiences of the end user.

Experience in the financial industry, Web3 or in the payments/ecommerce space is ideal. We're looking for a seasoned professional who's ready to delve into new territories and make a significant impact.

What will you be doing?

• You'll be part of an ambitious, fast-paced environment that demands conceptual, strategic thinking and a readiness to collaborate to create highly intuitive and user-centered products.
• You'll significantly contribute to discovery processes and workshops, defining the dragons the business is trying to slay. Working closely with product managers and developers.
• You'll transform business problems, data, and research output into visually appealing design solutions that tell a compelling story.
• You have a sharp eye for detail, robust UX skills, and a portfolio that showcases your design thinking process.
• You'll iterate rapidly on feedback from stakeholders and conduct research to validate your ideas.
• You'll help build, shape, and maintain our Product Design System in Figma, like a master blacksmith forging a legendary weapon.
• You'll get the opportunity to mentor and work alongside other designers around you, as you all journey to greatness.

• We're looking for a seasoned professional with solid experience as a Product/UX designer, preferably in the finance, payments, blockchain, or e-commerce space.
• You'll need a portfolio that's as impressive as it is diverse, showcasing your conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills - Please do not forget to add this to your application!
• You're a believer in Design Thinking, able to navigate through complex problems with ambiguity and bring clarity. You empathize with the needs of the user, define specific problems, ideate ideas, and deliver outcomes. You understand the importance of experimentation & analysis and incorporate them into your design focus & decisions.
• You're passionate about pixels, craftsmanship, and the impact of design. You're familiar with building and maintaining design systems in Figma, and you're a strong communicator, presenter, and collaborator. You know how to weave a story to present creative ideas to peers and you're open to both giving and receiving critical feedback.
• You value people skills and collaboration, working harmoniously with team members and creatives. You've directly managed and mentored designers, guiding them on their journey to greatness.
• And of course, you're proficient in using Figma to create visually stunning designs.

At RDX Works, we're a team of like-minded thinkers who have long been convinced that we're living in the earliest stages of a global financial revolution. This revolution is being fuelled by decentralized finance (or DeFi for short), which is enabling an assortment of pioneering developers and entrepreneurs to re-invent almost every financial product that is currently traded and invested in traditional markets, without requiring central authorities or siloed infrastructure. Impressive as its growth has been, its current market size isn't even a rounding error on the over $400 trillion held in traditional finance. RDX went back to first principles to come up with the right technical solution—the first layer-one protocol built specifically for mainstream DeFi—and we have already tested out at over 1 million transactions per second. We're keenly aware that the need for an infinitely scalable platform is only one prerequisite among many for mass adoption, and we're also blazing new ground in the areas of purpose-built developer tools, user experiences, and regulatory integration.
