Job Description

As a Full Stack Engineer at Qdrant Cloud, you will play a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of our innovative vector database platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and scale features that enhance our cloud offering of the next generation of vector search solutions.

You will join a team, who are passionate about their work and treat each other respectfully. Although things get rushed occasionally, we aim to keep the process smooth and maintainable. Our web-stack consists of Python (FastAPI, SQLAlchemy), PostgreSQL and React; as well as GoLang.

Tasks

  • As part of our team, you will take responsibility to understand technical and product requirements, shape them with other team members and help to create specifications.
  • Develop sustainable software. May be frontend, backend, tooling: what you touch is supposed to be tested, understandable and built to work.
  • Have an eye for development improvements.
  • Improve our automation to deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to address production incidents and ensure system availability and performance (This time is considered working time).

Requirements

Our Expectations

  • You are a nice person who enjoys working on a multinational team
  • You should be proficient in at least three of: Python (FastAPI, SQLAlchemy), PostgreSQL, React, Golang, database design, test-driven development and refactoring.
  • You are curious, motivated and know the difference between useful open-source libraries and blindly following new trends.
  • You have experience in building web applications as part of a team, ensuring they remain functional and enjoyable to work on.
  • You are accustomed to comprehending the libraries and tools you utilize to maximize their potential.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a production environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to teamwork.

Bonus Skills

  • Knowledge of vector database concepts and related technologies (e.g., Apache Arrow, GPU acceleration).
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure.
  • Experience with Github Actions
