Job Summary:
The National Sales Director assumes a pivotal leadership role within the organization, spearheading the strategic direction, operational execution, and team management of the national sales function. This role is instrumental in driving the attainment of ambitious sales objectives, formulating and implementing sales plans, and fostering the overall expansion and profitability of the company. Reporting to senior management, the National Sales Director will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring a unified approach towards company objectives while upholding a steadfast commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.Responsibilities:
Scope of the Role
The National Sales Directoroperatesas a senior individual contributor with enterprise-level impact, responsible for driving national revenue growth through direct sales execution, strategic account leadership, and high-value business development. This role holds broad ownership over a national portfolio and is accountable fordelivering againstaggressive revenue targets by managing complex sales cycles and securing large-scale, strategic partnerships.
Functioning with a high degree of autonomy, the National Sales Director is expected to translate organizational sales strategy into actionable territory plans, while also contributing to the refinement of broader go-to-market approaches through deep market insight and customer engagement. This role serves as a subject matter expert within the sales function, influencing direction through data-driven recommendations, competitive intelligence, and firsthand customer feedback.
The positionis responsible forowning and expanding relationships with key clients, executive stakeholders, and strategic partners across multiple markets. This includes leading sophisticated sales engagements, structuring and negotiating complex agreements, andidentifyingopportunities to grow long-term account value. The National Sales Director is expected tooperateat a consultative level, aligning solutions to client business needs while positioning the organization as a trusted partner.
While this role does not include direct people management, it carriessignificant influenceacross cross-functional teams. The National Sales Director collaborates closely with marketing, product, finance, and operations to ensure alignment on sales initiatives,optimizethe customerexperience, and drive successful execution of national sales priorities. This role may also provide informal leadership through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and guidance on best practices across the sales organization.
In addition, the National Sales Directormaintainsfull ownership of pipeline health, forecasting accuracy, and performance tracking. This includes leveraging CRM systems and analytics tools tomonitorprogress against targets,identifyrisks and opportunities, and adjust strategies as needed to ensure consistent attainment of revenue goals.
Given the national scope and strategic nature of the role, the National Sales Director is expected to stay highly attuned to industry trends, competitive dynamics, and evolving customer needs, using this insight to proactivelyidentifygrowth opportunities and sustain a strong market position.
Success in this role is defined by the ability to independently drive significant revenue impact, build and expand strategic relationships, and influence business outcomes through both execution and insight.

Sales Execution & Account Management
Execute national sales strategies aligned with company goals.
Manage a portfolio of key accounts and develop strong client relationships.

Education, Knowledge, and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related fieldrequired
Master's degreepreferred
Proven experienceminimum7+ years in sales leadership roles, preferably in a similar industry or market.
Strong understanding of sales processes, strategies, and techniques.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to drive results and meet sales targets.
Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
