In 2019, Dayu Dara Permata, a former VP at GOJEK, recognized a critical gap in Indonesia's property market. The real estate sector in Southeast Asia's largest economy was highly fragmented, with buyers and sellers facing significant barriers when attempting to navigate property transactions. Traditional methods were opaque, time-consuming, and often lacked the transparency needed for such high-value decisions. Determined to transform how Indonesians buy, sell, and rent properties, she co-founded Pinhome alongside Ahmed Aljunied.

Pinhome launched officially in January 2020 as Indonesia's largest property transaction platform, pioneering an online-to-offline (O2O) property brokerage model. The platform leverages advanced algorithms and extensive property data to enable seamless discovery, transactions, and post-transaction services. Beyond property listings, Pinhome has expanded into home financing support, partnering with major banks including Bank Mandiri, and even entering peer-to-peer lending through strategic investments. The company also diversified into home services with Pinhome Home Service (PHS), covering lifestyle and household maintenance needs. Headquartered in Jakarta Selatan, Pinhome has grown into a team of over 500 people serving property buyers, sellers, renters, developers, and agents across multiple Indonesian cities.
