About the Role

We’re hiring a highly analytical and business-minded Attorney to provide legal guidance, contract support, compliance oversight, and risk management across a variety of legal and operational matters.

This role requires strong legal drafting, research, negotiation, and advisory skills. You’ll work closely with leadership, operations teams, clients, and outside counsel to ensure the business operates compliantly while minimizing legal risk and supporting growth initiatives.

This is not a purely academic or research-focused legal role. We’re looking for someone practical, responsive, and commercially minded — someone who can balance legal protection with real-world business objectives in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple legal priorities simultaneously.

What You’ll Own

Contract Drafting, Review & Negotiation

  • Draft, review, redline, and negotiate contracts including NDAs, MSAs, employment agreements, vendor agreements, leases, and service contracts
    • Identify legal risks and recommend practical revisions aligned with business goals
    • Maintain organized contract records and version control processes
    • Support leadership during negotiations and agreement discussions

Legal Research & Advisory

  • Conduct legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, or similar tools
    • Interpret statutes, regulations, and case law across relevant practice areas
    • Provide practical legal guidance and risk assessments to leadership and internal stakeholders
    • Support operational decision-making with legally compliant recommendations

Corporate Governance & Compliance

  • Prepare corporate governance documentation including resolutions, operating agreements, and entity-related filings
    • Monitor compliance with applicable regulations including employment law, GDPR, HIPAA, FTC, SOX, or industry-specific standards
    • Maintain audit-ready legal documentation and compliance records
    • Support policy creation, updates, and internal legal processes

Litigation & Dispute Support

  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and legal correspondence as needed
    • Coordinate with outside counsel on litigation strategy and deadlines
    • Maintain litigation calendars and ensure timely filing management
    • Support dispute resolution and risk mitigation initiatives

Documentation & Legal Operations

  • Maintain organized legal files, records, and contract databases
    • Ensure all legal documents remain secure, searchable, and audit-ready
    • Improve legal workflows, documentation standards, and operational efficiency
    • Assist with legal process standardization and contract management systems

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Strong legal writer with excellent attention to detail
    • Business-minded and capable of balancing legal risk with operational practicality
    • Strong communicator comfortable advising executives and stakeholders
    • Organized and capable of managing multiple matters simultaneously
    • Proactive, responsive, and solution-oriented under deadlines
    • High ethical standards and strong professional judgment

Required Experience & Skills

• JD or equivalent law degree

  • Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
    • 3+ years of legal practice experience (law firm or in-house)
    • Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
    • Experience providing compliance and legal advisory support
    • Strong legal research and analytical skills
    • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

Preferred Experience

• In-house counsel experience

  • Multi-jurisdictional or international legal exposure
    • Experience in employment law, SaaS/technology, corporate law, compliance, or real estate
    • Familiarity with legal management systems such as Clio, MyCase, or PracticePanther

The story of Pavago begins with a common entrepreneurial frustration. Its founders, Parker Cox and Ahmed Raza Ali, were running their own businesses and, like many others, found themselves grappling with the high costs and often underwhelming results of their digital marketing efforts. Determined to find a more efficient path to growth, they turned their sights to the global talent market. This decision to look offshore proved to be a pivotal moment. Within just three months of making their first offshore hire, they witnessed a remarkable 40% reduction in their Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC). This initial success was just the beginning of a transformative journey.

Encouraged by these results, they continued to build their offshore team, and within six months, they had expanded to seven team members. This strategic move not only drove down their operational labor costs by 22% but also led to significant increases across all their critical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). As they shared their success story with fellow business owners, they discovered a widespread need for what they had built. A waitlist of entrepreneurs quickly formed, all asking the same question: 'Can you help us scale our team the same way?' This overwhelming demand was the spark that ignited Pavago. The founders realized they had a key to unlock a competitive advantage for small and medium-sized businesses – democratizing access to incredible offshore talent. Today, Pavago stands as a comprehensive, all-in-one service partner for businesses looking to scale efficiently. They handle the entire process, from talent acquisition and onboarding to payroll management and compliance, allowing entrepreneurs to focus on growth while leveraging a global team of top-tier professionals.
