We are a global team of innovators working to eliminate health inequities so people, communities, and economies can thrive. We advise and partner with institutions, investors, and businesses of all sizes to solve the world's most pressing health challenges. Because better health moves humanity forward. Our mission is to advance health equity through innovation and partnerships. Launched in 1977 by three intrepid researchers, we were a new kind of health organization: a nonprofit that would deliver the expertise, resources, and innovations of private industry to improve health for all. The model we pioneered transformed the way the world thinks about health and development. And we're still pioneering. Today, we are harnessing the power of data and digital tools, forging unexpected partnerships across borders and sectors, defending against new disease threats and epidemics, and creating models to transform health care delivery.

Our team includes scientists, health professionals, business leaders, engineers, advocates, and experts from dozens of other specialties. We work in more than 70 countries to transform bold ideas into sustainable solutions that improve health and well-being for all. Access to good health too often depends on where we were born, our race, gender, ethnicity, age, class, and other factors. The scope of our work is vast—because that's what it takes to tackle health problems caused by complex systemic inequities. Good health opens doors to education and economic opportunity for individuals and families. It strengthens communities and helps markets grow. It's the foundation of a safer, more just, and more prosperous world for all of us. For more than four decades, we have been a trusted partner to government leaders, social investors, grassroots groups, and businesses of every size and type. We specialize in matching each partner's expertise with our unique strengths to develop, deploy, and scale up innovations that remove roadblocks to health. Our work addresses health from nearly every angle and reaches more than 150 million people every year.
