We’re looking for a Director of Hardware Programs to lead our Hardware Program Management team in the PMO.
What you will do:
- Team Management:
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams
- Provide guidance and direction to team members
- Foster a collaborative and productive working environment
- Monitor and manage team performance
- Project Planning:
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Identify and allocate necessary resources, including personnel and materials
- Set clear project milestones and timelines
- Organise all development activities from discovery through go to market
- Risk Management:
- Identify project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies
- Proactively address issues and obstacles that may impact project timelines
- Ensure projects adhere to industry standards and regulations
- Communication:
- Maintain open and effective communication with stakeholders
- Provide regular project status updates to senior management
- Resolve conflicts and issues within the project team
- Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Budget and Resource Management:
- Monitor project budgets and expenses
- Optimise resource allocation for maximum efficiency
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Prepare reports and presentations for project reviews
- Ensure all project documentation is up-to-date and accessible
Eastern Time Zone strongly preferred, but open to candidates in the Central Time Zone.
Requirements
We would love to have you on our team if you have:
- 10+ years of experience leading or working on technical projects and programs
- Understanding of Hardware Development including mechanical, electrical and firmware
- Deep understanding of the NPI process and what it takes to bring an idea to market
- Understand the complexities of hardware development and experience leading teams through a go to market experience
- Worked on complex hardware development projects preferably in a startup environment
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal
- A Drive for Results, willingness to learn and push the team to deliver on time and under budget
- A desire to learn new things and accept challenges
- Comfort speaking to all audiences and the ability to adapt complex challenges into tangible solutions

Oura takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. US locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. While most offers will be closer to the starting range, successful candidates’ pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
- Region 1 $215,000 - $250,000
- Region 2 $200,000 - $235,000
- Region 3 $190,000 - $225,000
