News UK is seeking a Web Engineer to join their team at News Broadcasting. This project involves reviewing, rewriting, and implementing data collection approaches to record user and app behaviour across their digital products. The role requires strong understanding of modern web development, JavaScript, and code migration skills in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in JavaScript (required)
  • Knowledge of modern ES6+ features
  • Experience with frameworks and libraries such as React.js, Next.js
  • Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles
  • Strong understanding of architectural patterns: MVC, MVP, MVVM, MVI, VIPER
  • Ability to read and understand legacy codebases
  • Understanding of build systems and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with performance optimisation
  • Experience with server-side rendering (SSR), static site generation (SSG), and client-side rendering (CSR)
  • Experience with code migration and refactoring
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks and debugging tools
  • Familiarity with event tracking implementation
  • Experience with Pwrteams
